Conejo Substance Abuse Prevention Authority (CSAPA) Agenda, <br />Minutes And Correspondence <br />In response to Holt's inquiry, Jacobsen explained the meeting schedule and <br />process. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Ward said it is anticipated that the <br />community survey will be released in February and, thus, will be available <br />for reference at the Board workshop. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that Gregor Mendel Botanic Garden representatives <br />have identified options for site improvement, and staff anticipates that <br />shortly recommendations will be brought to the Board for consideration. <br />Continuing, he said that government mandates, relative to play equipment, <br />particularly swings, have resulted in reduced challenges in play apparatus, <br />and staff plans to meet with interested park neighbors to solicit input for play <br />equipment design. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Sorensen reviewed the progress of Rancho <br />Conejo Playfield, Phases 2 and 3, Kimber Park, and the agreement with <br />Hillcrest Christian School, relative to Estella Park. He said it is anticipated <br />that construction on Kimber Park will begin this fiscal year, and negotiations <br />continue on the community garden and dog park sites. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Wiley reported that winter classes have begun, registration is up eight <br />percent, and the Young Artists Ensemble presentation of Cheaper by the <br />Dozen will be presented in the Forum Theater on February 4. <br />
