CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 4, 1999 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Holt called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m. and led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen and Sorensen, <br />Recreation Services Manager Lindsey, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Nick Quidwai, Director, Concemed Citizens of Thousand Vaks, expressed his <br />displeasure at the Board's rejection of the recent request for a camel and elephant <br />ride at a company picnic held at Conejo Creek North. He said that government <br />frequently exceeds authority, the proposed Hill Canyon project was rejected <br />because the City of Thousand Oaks needs the land to satisfy the mitigation <br />demands of state and national regulatory agencies resulting from the sewage spill, <br />and he regrets the financial loss to the community and the lack of financial <br />accountability. <br />S. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />S. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Minutes of October 21, 1999 Meeting <br />B. Warrants, Exhibits A - C, Total $225,514.93 <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0, to <br />approve the Consent Calendar as presented. <br />7. DEFERRED MATTERS <br />None <br />
