Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that the Young Artists Ensemble will present "Sleepy Hollow" <br />October 26 through 28 at the Forum Theatre, Civic Arts Plaza; the Family <br />Puzzle Contest is scheduled for October 20 at the Borchard Community <br />Center; the Teen Center Halloween Dance for 7h and a graders will be held <br />on October 27 and a dance for 9th and 1 & graders is scheduled for October <br />M <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />Robertson invited questions. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Robertson said that staff is working with <br />the vendor to finalize the registration software, and it is expected that winter <br />registration will be internet based. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that there is an oak tree <br />sponsorship program in effect, signage and plaques are not part of the <br />program, and the funds are used to support open space. Jacobsen and <br />Holt requested further program information be provided to the Board. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange noted that the Park and Bark organization has dissolved, he said <br />there is a continued need for such a group, and indicated his willingness to <br />be involved. Sorensen said that he will put Lange in contact with interested <br />parties in the community. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiries, Sorensen said that few problems have <br />been experienced with mutt mitt dispensers, the dispensers are not at all <br />locations, and they are stocked by volunteers. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward referenced and highlighted the nandout relative to A131602, which <br />places the Clean Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks, and Coastal <br />Protection Bond Act before the voters on the March 2002 statewide ballot. <br />He noted that staff is proceeding with a plan for the sale of District surplus <br />properties, including Park Place. <br />
