Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Meeting Notice And Agenda - <br />October 17, 2001 <br />Berger highlighted the extent and success of recent Conservancy projects, <br />commended the leadership of Joseph Edmiston, and discussed <br />conservancies statewide. Lange noted the joint meeting with the San <br />Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy. <br />B. Budget Performance Report — September 2001 — No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that stats is working with City of Thousand Oaks to <br />improve traffic and safety conditions on Reino Road near Pepper Tree <br />Playfields. He said that adequate parking is available at the nearby industrial <br />park, AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) plans to raise awareness <br />of the facility, and signage is being investigated. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that the next dedication will <br />be Dos Vientos Community Park site, and that date has not been identified. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Sorensen said that in order to facilitate <br />greater public awareness, a public hearing for the Northwood Park Master <br />Plan is scheduled for November 1 <br />
