Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that staff has been deliberate in its approach to Ventura <br />County's offer to transfer Oakbrook Regional Park and the Chumash <br />Interpretative Center to local jurisdiction, the County is giving consideration to <br />issuing an RFP to non-profit organizations for operation of the park, and staff <br />expects to return soon with additional information and a recommendation for <br />Board consideration. <br />Jacobsen requested that a tour of the site be arranged, and additional <br />information provided. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Scott reported that fall programs begin the week of September 16. <br />She noted the upcoming Hillcrest Center Grand Opening on September 20. <br />She thanked Board members for their support of the Neighborhood for <br />Learning Kickoff on August 18 at Crowley House, and referenced a handout <br />relative to usage of CRPD and CVUSD fields by community sports <br />organizations. <br />Concluding, Scott said that patron evaluation results of the Summer Concerts <br />in the Park series will be reported at the September 26 Board meeting. <br />Lange noted that thought is being given by the City .of Thousand Oaks to <br />develop a community -wide computerized master calendar, and suggested <br />that staff be involved in the effort. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reminded the Board of the September 21 Ride On fundraiser, and said <br />that the legislature passed the 2002-03 budget, and annexation of Rancho <br />Potrero to the City of Thousand Oaks and the District has been filed with <br />LAFCO (Local Area Formation Commission). <br />
