NEW ITEMS <br />A. Approval Of Memorandum Of Understanding With Foxmoor Property <br />Owners Association And Authorization To Proceed with Program <br />Implementation <br />Scott referenced the documentation. She said that this is an annual request <br />for the provision of a morning summer recreation program; if approved, this <br />will be the program's 20"' year; and the program has been very successful. <br />She stated staff recommendation. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Holt said that the registration fee is $140 per <br />child, the District will retain $120 per child, the homeowner's association will <br />receive approximately 15 percent of each registrant's fee for maintenance <br />costs, a maximum of 55 children will be eligible to participate in each of the <br />two sessions, a minimum of 45 registered participants is required to conduct <br />the camp, and it is basically the same program as presented last year. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to authorize <br />the General Manager to sign the submitted Memorandum of <br />Understanding with the Foxmoor Property Owners Association and <br />authorize staff to proceed with the implementation of the program on a <br />reimbursed cost basis. <br />B. Authorization To Issue Permit And Use Memorandum Of Understanding <br />To Regulate Newbury Park Rotary Club's Oktoberfest At Conejo Creek <br />North <br />Scott stated that the Newbury Park Rotary Club has requested use of Conejo <br />Creek North on Sunday, September 15 for its annual Oktoberfest <br />Celebration, the Oktoberfest has been held successfully at Conejo Creek in <br />the past with no major incidents, and the event will be at the Lakeside <br />Pavilion. She stated staff recommendation. <br />In response to Board inquiries, Scott explained that event sponsors, including <br />Jeff Losey, event chair, are aware of the new requirements of the Ventura <br />County Health and Environmental Services Agency, training has been <br />conducted, no additional impact to the park is anticipated, and the permit <br />granted is a Class 3. <br />
