CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 25, 2002 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m., and Berger led the flag <br />salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen, Sorensen and <br />Scott, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Grahame Watts, representing Conejo Soccer Club 76, a 150 -member adult soccer <br />club that uses Borchard Fields, distributed a letter to the Board, presented an <br />update on the club's activities and goals, and requested a formal response to the <br />communication. He expressed appreciation for the past relationship with the <br />District, said that the club's goal is to enhance the field, and noted a close working <br />relationship with AYSO. <br />Gibson thanked Watts for his attendance and information. Jacobsen said that staff <br />would address the issue, and Holt requested that staff provide an update. <br />Barbara Kloster suggested that next year the Thursday Thrills event be held at <br />various parks throughout the community. She said it would foster greater <br />community awareness, involvement, and cooperation. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Jacobsen announced that Item 8.D. would be deferred to a subsequent meeting. <br />
