1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />IP <br />CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 20, 2003 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Lange called the meeting to order at 7:31p.m., and Friedl led the flag salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Assistant General Managers Sorensen <br />and Friedl, Administrators Jorgensen and Benton, Senior Park Planner Pluth, <br />Park Superintendent Marchesano and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Conejo Community Center Presentation — Lori Olbrich <br />Olbrich presented a slide presentation on activities and programs offered at <br />Conejo Community Center during the last six month, including concerts, camps, <br />after school and home work programs. <br />Jacobsen suggested that District slide programs be made available to the public. <br />Board members commended Olbrich and staff for the excellent programs offered <br />at Conejo Community Center. <br />ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />John Fonti, a board member of the Dos Vientos Homeowners Association, said <br />that he lives near Two Winds, Two Winds is the preferred location for the <br />permanent equestrian center, the City Council voted 5-0 to approved the location, <br />the City of Thousand Oaks should be the lead agency for the upgrade and <br />improvement project, and the Broome Ranch property should be designated for <br />Passive and equestrian use only. He asked that the District cooperate with the <br />City to move the project forward, and said CRPD Board meetings should be <br />televised. <br />
