He said <br />that the agreement contained other very minor and nonsubstantive <br />revisions. <br />Sorensen introduced Bryan McQueeney, Executive Director of Ride On. <br />McQueeney thanked the District for its support, noted the upcoming <br />Ventura Farms Ride On Benefit on September 13, and highlighted recent <br />accomplishments, including, the District coordinated construction of an <br />ADA -accessible wheelchair ramp from the barn level to the arena level. He <br />said that a total of 2,884 lessons have been given through July 2003, and <br />ridership is up 25 percent over a year ago. He cited programs in <br />partnership with the CRPD Therapeutics Program, including CRPD barn <br />dance, day camp, and sensory integration ranch visit, and other program <br />and community outreach efforts, including continuations of drill team and <br />week-long summer day camp. Noting the current economic climate and the <br />State budget crisis, McQueeney said the challenge will be to continue to <br />broaden the organization's base of support in the community. He invited <br />questions. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0 to <br />approve the annual lease renewal between Ride On Therapeutic <br />Horsemanship and the District. <br />B. Adoption Of Resolutions 090403-A And 090403-B Authorizing <br />Participation In Per Capita And Roberti-Z'Berg-Harris (RZH) Grant <br />Programs <br />Referencing the Per Capita Allocation and Robe rti-Z'berg-Ha rris Grant <br />Programs, Sorensen supplied information, and said funding is available in <br />this year's State budget; staff will utilize the grant funding to supplement <br />project development funds for various projects as designated in this year's <br />District budget, including Conejo Community Park play area, Banyan Park <br />tot lot, and lighting for Conejo Creek South, Pepper Tree Playfield, and <br />Borchard Community Park. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Sorensen said that only Roberti-Z'berg- <br />Harris Grant Programs require matching funds, and legislation to repeal this <br />requirement is pending. <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to <br />adopt Resolution 090403-A authorizing the District to apply for grant <br />funds for the Per Capita Grant Program under the California Clean <br />
