CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Lange called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m., and Pluth led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen, Scott and <br />Sorensen, Senior Park Planner Pluth and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Barbara Kloster, Thousand Oaks, thanked the District for cosponsoring the Federal <br />Bureau of Land Management's wild horse and burrow adoption event at Waverly arena <br />on July 27. <br />Lu Ann Jones, Conejo Valley, said that people from all over Ventura County and <br />beyond will attend the wild horse and burrow adoption event, which will afford the <br />animals a new opportunity at life. She thanker! the District for its support, and said <br />everyone is invited to the safe event. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Berger, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval Of Minutes Of July 10, 2003 Meeting <br />B. Approval Of Warrants, Exhibits A - B, Total $579,375.98 <br />
