May 1, 2003 <br />Page 9 <br />and Recorder's office was outdated, and, hence, notifications were not <br />forwarded to the current owners. <br />Continuing, he said that a second budget workshop for assessment district <br />funds was held, the first meeting is scheduled for May 15, and the final <br />Engineer's Report will be presented June 19. <br />Concluding, he said that the date of the VIP Ride On event has been <br />changed from June 21 to June 7 <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Scott reported that the next teen dance for 7t" and 8th graders is scheduled <br />for May 10 at the Teen Center, and the Teen Center will be closed May 2 <br />through May 4 due to the Conejo Valley Days Carnival. <br />She said that approximately 6,000 people attended the Eggstravaganza at <br />Conejo Creek South on April 12, and she identified this year's major <br />sponsors: Standard Pacific Homes, Dole Food Company, Farmers <br />Insurance Group, Exxon Mobil Foundation, and Thousand Oaks Kiwanis <br />Club. <br />She invited everyone to the May 31 skateboard event at Borchard <br />Community Park. In response to Gibson's concern, Scott said that an <br />outreach effort to youth in the Newbury Park area is planned. <br />She said a photography exhibition sponsored by Arts Council of the Conejo <br />Valley is scheduled for May 9 through June 27 at Hillcrest Center, and a <br />hoe-down and barbeque at Walnut Grove Equestrian Center presented by <br />the Therapeutic Unit in cooperation with Ride On Therapeutic <br />Horsemanship is scheduled for May 10. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward highlighted the State budget process, and reported that he will be in <br />Sacramento on May 14 and 15 for the local coalition rally. He noted the <br />Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters Luncheon, and said a request for lot line <br />adjustments to accommodate the library expansion is expected shortly from <br />
