May 1, 2003 <br />Page 10 <br />the City of Thousand Oaks. Continuing, he said that Brenda Coleman will <br />be presented the Rothschild Award for service to youth at the May 8 <br />Thousand Oaks Rotary Club meeting, he will represent COSCA (Conejo <br />Open Space Conservation Agency) and the District at the May 6 City <br />Council meeting, at which the Rancho Potrero annexation issue will be <br />discussed. Concluding, he noted the Conejo Valley Days Parade on May <br />3, and said the District's hay filled wagon will be pulled by a restored Ford <br />tractor. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Ward said that he has been advised that the <br />Hillcrest Center signage will be erected by mid-May. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange and Gibson reported that the CARPD (California Association of <br />Recreation and Park Districts) Conference was very worthwhile, and <br />highlights were discussed. <br />Lange said he attended the Conejo Valley Days Ribbon Cutting Ceremony <br />and urged District attendance at future such C.V.D. events. <br />12.
