CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 10, 2003 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Lange called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m., and Jorgensen led the flag <br />salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Jorgensen, Scott, and <br />Sorensen, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Pam Pond, Newbury Park, spoke in support of the vacant 35 -acre parcel west of <br />Borchard Road and south of highway 101 being used as a tot lot and small dog <br />park. She said a dog park is needed in Newbury Park. Lange referred the issue to <br />staff and suggested she contact staff. Ward said that the property is privately <br />owned. <br />Clay Hulett, representing Conejo Valley Days (CVD), distributed CVD <br />memorabilia, and expressed appreciation for the use of District facilities and the <br />relationship between CRPD and CVD. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 4-0, to approve <br />the agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
