September 16, 2004 <br />Page 4 <br />B. Approval of Resolution Number 091604-A — Nomination of a Special <br />Districts Alternate Member Of The Ventura County Local Agency <br />Formation Commission (LAFCO) <br />It was moved by Berger, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0 to adopt <br />a resolution to nominate George Lange as a Special District Alternate <br />Member of the Ventura County LAFCO. <br />Mr. Lange expressed appreciation for the nomination and his eagerness to <br />serve in this position, representing not only Ventura County LAFCO but the <br />District, as well. <br />Mr. Ward mentioned the need for a motion to authorize the General <br />Manager to cast a ballot in favor Mr. Lange. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Jacobson, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to cast a vote for George Lange as a <br />Special District Alternate Member of the Ventura County LAFCO. <br />9. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />None <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA) — Wildfire <br />Management Status Report — No Comment <br />B. Budget Performance Report — August 2004 — no comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Friedl reported on the Administrative hearing for the Dog Park held last <br />Thursday, September 9t'. Permit was denied without prejudice. District will <br />file an appeal or may pursue it as a new application. Studies will be <br />prepared to bring to the Board for action before proceeding. <br />
