Holt and Jacobsen reviewed the <br />team's accomplishments over the past season, noting the victories that led them to <br />the United States championship. <br />Ginther praised the tremendous effort exhibited by his team and thanked the <br />parents for their support. He also thanked the Board members and the staff for <br />their support, especially regarding the upkeep of the fields at Conejo Community <br />Park. <br />On behalf of the Board, Holt and Jacobsen presented awards to the team <br />members, coaching staff and manager. Board members congratulated the team <br />and expressed appreciation for their efforts and the pride they brought to the City <br />of Thousand Oaks. <br />Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship Bryan McQueeney <br />McQueeney presented a report on the activities and status of the therapeutic <br />horsemanship program in Newbury Park. He highlighted the current scope of the <br />program, future goals, participants and programs. Some of the programs <br />mentioned include a day camp for autistic riders, drill team for adults, on-site <br />physical therapy and a pilot literacy program. He expressed appreciation to the <br />District for its continuing support, especially the funds provided this year for barn <br />improvements. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Tom Ritch, Thousand Oaks, presented his request for a path offering direct access <br />to Conejo Community Park for the residents of a proposed development in his <br />neighborhood. He also would like the District to provide bicycle and pedestrian <br />access between Conejo Community Park and St. Charles Place and/or McCloud <br />Street. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />
