Consider Action To Elect A Representative To The California Special <br />Districts Association (CSDA) Board Of Directors <br />Ward referenced the documentation, and identified the candidates as <br />incumbent John Fox and David Voigt. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 4-0 to cast the <br />District's ballot to elect John Fox, incumbent, (Goleta Sanitary District) <br />as a representative to the CSDA Board of Directors. <br />C. Consider LAFCO (Ventura Local Agency Formation Commission) Call <br />For Nominations For Special District Members <br />Ward referenced the documentation, and noted the adoption of the mailed <br />ballot election procedure. He said that, if the Board decides to submit a <br />nomination for the Independent Special District Alternate Member, the <br />nomination must be memorialized at the September 16 meeting. <br />In response to Berger's inquiry, Lange said that at this time he did not know <br />of anyone running. Berger said he would be pleased to nominate Lange, if <br />Lange were interested. Lange asked for time to consider the issue, and <br />thanked Berger for his confidence. <br />It was moved by Berger, and carried 4-0 to table the issue of nomination <br />of a candidate as Independent Special District Alternate until the <br />September 16, 2004 Board meeting. <br />Jacobsen said that Lange is highly <br />California Special Districts Association <br />District is not mandatory. <br />9.
