Resolution Of Ventura Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) <br />Relative to Formation Of Ventura County Regional Open Space <br />District <br />Gibson called attention to the fact that LAFCO unanimously approved the <br />formation of the Ventura County Regional Open Space District. <br />C. Report Of Investments - May 2004 — No Comment <br />D. Ventura Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) <br />Correspondence Regarding Draft LAFCO Municipal Service Review <br />Questionnaire — No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Friedl noted the dog park survey regarding dog park lighting, and said that <br />some have expressed concern about the proposed lights, and the issue is <br />expected to come before the Planning Commission soon. Continuing, he <br />said that Conejo Creek South is on schedule, and the lights are expected <br />to be energized within the next two weeks and a notice will be distributed to <br />neighbors. <br />He said that at a recent public hearing regarding CalAm, he spoke in <br />support of a greater than six percent rate decrease, noting that if CalAm <br />rates were the same as the City of Thousand Oaks, the District would save <br />approximately $90,000 per year. <br />Friedl said that Pluth and he met with the new president of the Conejo <br />Valley Historical Society, and discussed long range planning and creating a <br />
