Concluding, he said that he just returned from Government Affairs Day <br />in Sacramento. <br />Lange noted that a generator cover can be used as a noise mitigator. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Friedl said it is envisioned that staff <br />representatives from the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD), the <br />City of Thousand Oak, and the District will conduct consultant evaluations for <br />the Lange Ranch Community Park project. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton identified and highlighted recent recreation events, including: <br />Velveteen Rabbit, May 14; Teen Center Talent Show. Thousand Oaks Center <br />Community Garage Sale and Celebration of Life Senior Festival all on May 15; <br />1 found a Golden Ticket performance, May 18; Hillcrest Center Gallery Walk <br />with the Artists May 19, Off -Road PALS trip, May 21; Senior Ball, Conejo <br />Community Center Family Concert with Peter Alsop, May 22; Goebel Senior <br />Adult Center Senior of the Year, May 27; Borchard Community Center skate <br />contest May 29; and Memorial Day Concert in the Park, May 31. <br />Lange commended staff for all the recreation activities, especially those at the <br />skate park. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported that the District's new software is proving an effective <br />blocker of spam and viruses. <br />Lange said that Lewanda's financial expertise is very much appreciated at <br />MRCA (Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority). <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that he and Friedl met with City staff and Council Member <br />Gillette regarding possible community recreation opportunities at the new <br />California Lutheran University swim pool and potential expansion at the Teen <br />Center.
