Authorization To Award Bid For Districtwide Weed Abatement To Pepo <br />Weed Abatement <br />Friedl reviewed the bid process, noted that Pepo Weed Abatement, Inc., <br />with a ten-year tract record with the District, submitted a bid of $63,800; the <br />bid is $2,000 less than last year's; $70,000 had been budgeted; and the <br />contract allows the District to renew the contract for three additional years <br />without re -bidding the annual program. <br />Gibson requested that, in the future, more information on other prospective <br />bidders be provided to the Board to facilitate a broader perspective. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Berger, and carried 4-0 to <br />authorize staff to award the bid for districtwide weed abatement for <br />fiscal year 2003-2004 to Pepo Weed Abatement, Inc., and authorize <br />staff to enter into a contract with same for $63,800 with funding from <br />COSCA (Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency) weed abatement <br />account #10-20-350-2212. <br />9.
