February 5, 2004 <br />Page 6 <br />the Goebel Senior Adult Center discussion groups; topics include religion, <br />sports, relationships, politics, health and sex. <br />Benton reported that the musical production of Snow White and the Seven <br />Dwarves will be presented February 6 through 21 by the Young Artists <br />Ensemble in the Hillcrest Center for the Arts; Conejo Valley Therapeutic <br />Advisory Council is sponsoring a Family Bingo and Hot Cobbler Night on <br />February 6 at Goebel Senior Adult Center; a Valentine's Day Dance is <br />scheduled for February 14 at Old Meadows Center; Conejo Theatre for <br />Everyone, in cooperation with the Young Artists Ensemble, will present <br />Snow White and the Seven Dwarves February 12 and 15 and a VIP <br />reception will follow the Sunday performance; 14 families are registered for <br />Parents Night Out at Thousand Oaks Center; and at the Teen Center a <br />Valentine's Day Dance for 7th and 8th grade teens is scheduled for February <br />7, and a snowboard trip to Mountain High Resort is scheduled for February <br />13. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported that next week she plans to visit River Center to learn <br />more about the organizational ties between Santa Monica Mountains <br />Conservancy (SMMC) and Mountains Recreation and Conservation <br />Authority (MRCA). <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward noted the VCSDA (Ventura County Special Districts Association) <br />annual dinner meeting on March 2, and the correspondence from Mr. <br />Gustafson regarding campaign contributions and a public records request, <br />pertaining to Lang Ranch Community Park. <br />Ward reported that a preliminary meeting has been held, relative to a <br />possible therapeutics component for children and animals at the McCrea <br />Ranch; staff met with City staff to discuss a possible Teen Center <br />expansion; and Mark Towne will make a presentation to the City Council, <br />relative to COSCA (Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency). He invited <br />anyone interested in visiting Lang Ranch Dam to contact him. <br />Gibson suggested that Towne make a similar presentation to CRPD. <br />
