Relative to Sycamore Neighborhood <br />Park, he said that construction is largely complete, staff anticipates a four to <br />five month growing schedule of the hydro seed, and there will be <br />community use of the Sycamore School gymnasium. <br />B. Budget Performance Report — November 2005 <br />Lange thanked Jan Robertson for the excellent reports. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Park Division Report <br />Friedl reported that staff has met with Hillcrest Christian School's legal <br />representative to discuss the reciprocal parking agreement involving Estella <br />Park, and it may serve as an opportunity to partner with the school to further <br />serve the needs of the community. <br />Berger stated his concern that too much parking space could prove <br />problematic. <br />Additionally, staff met with representatives of Centex Homes to discuss their <br />plans to build homes off Warwick Drive, the impact on Conejo Community <br />Park, and the possibility of deeding three parcels adjacent to Conejo <br />Community Park near the Botanic Gardens to the District. <br />Concluding, Friedl said that he has been informed that California Lutheran <br />University's baseball field is now ready for use. <br />Gibson requested that staff investigate the possibility of installing netting at <br />Borchard Park playing fields, as was done at Dos Vientos Neighborhood <br />Community Park. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that a winter skateboarding contest and festival will be held <br />at Borchard Community Center on December 17; the Sports Unit will <br />present Total Tennis Academy Camp and Junior Golf Camp, two holiday <br />sports camps; Goebel Senior Adult Center and the Teen Center are both <br />hosting New Year's Eve celebrations; and the Acorn Community Theatre <br />presentation of "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" continues at the Theater on the <br />Hill. <br />
