Public Hearing - Adoption Of Resolution Number 061605-A, Approving <br />Engineer's Report, Confirming Diagram And Assessment And <br />Ordering Levy Of Assessments For Districtwide Park Maintenance <br />And Recreation Improvement District (62-1) <br />Friedl said that the submitted resolution confirms and approves the final <br />Engineer's Report for the Districtwide Park Maintenance and Recreation <br />Improvement District (AD 62-1) and confirms the levies contained therein, <br />$27.76 per single-family equivalent unit throughout the District except for <br />properties covered by AD 92-1 (Rancho Conejo) or AD 94-1 (Dos Vientos <br />Ranch.) <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, staff said a couple of constituent calls <br />about the assessment district have been received this year. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to adopt <br />Resolution No. 061605-A approving the Engineer's Report, confirming <br />the diagram and assessment and ordering the levy of assessment for <br />the Districtwide Park Maintenance and Recreation Improvement <br />District (AD 62-1); that it be read in title only and all other readings be <br />waived. <br />B. Adoption Of Resolution Number 061605-B Adopting Memorandum Of <br />Understanding Between District And Service Employees International <br />Union (SEIU), And Adjusting Employee Benefits And Salaries <br />Lewanda provided background information, referenced the documentation, <br />and identified and discussed the MOU articles that were significantly <br />changed. She said that the salaries will be increased 3%; the District shall <br />provide a classification and compensation study and actuarial studies for <br />the 2.5% at 55 and 2.7% at 55 retirement plans; and the District will add a <br />Retirement Health Savings Plan. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Lewanda said that the cost of the <br />classification and compensation study would be approximately $75,000 and <br />is covered in the budget. Jacobsen and Gibson suggested that other <br />districts and sources be contacted for relevant information and cost saving <br />methods. <br />
