ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />John Short III, President of Thousand Oaks Little League, reported on the recent <br />World Series Championship and noted that the Thousand Oaks Big League Team <br />won the series. He thanked everyone involved, and stated his appreciation to the <br />District for its efforts and outstanding facilities. <br />Barbara Kloster, Corral 37, invited everyone to the Day of the Horse on <br />September 9, thanked everyone for support, and said all proceeds will go to the <br />Ride On Program. <br />Marilee Ullmann expressed appreciation to District staff for the parks, facilities <br />and new amenities, and offered to help in any way deemed necessary. <br />Steve Roe urged consideration be given to modifying the dog park facility to <br />accommodate large but timid and shy dogs. <br />Nadine Brennan suggested that timid or old dogs be allowed in the area for <br />smaller dogs. <br />Gibson recommended that Tom Hare and staff be contacted to discuss dog park <br />issues. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
