Recreation Division Report <br />Benton introduced Dylan Gunning, Recreation Intern at the Teen Center. <br />She reported that the 12th annual Children's Festival of the Arts featuring <br />hands-on arts, crafts, music and entertainment is scheduled for October 7 <br />at Conejo Creek North; the Therapeutic Recreation Unit is hosting a fund- <br />raiser at Ameci Pizza and Pasta on October 17; Photography Vision Six, an <br />art exhibit featuring the work of six local photographers, will be on display at <br />Hillcrest Center Gallery from October 5 through December 18; the Teen <br />Center will host a high school concert October 7 featuring four local teen <br />bands; and flu immunization will be held on October 14 at the Goebel <br />Senior Adult Center. <br />Berger and Gibson stated that at the recent California Special Districts <br />Association (CSDA) Conference, they were pleased to accept, on behalf of <br />the District, the CSDA Recreation Award for the Summer Day Camp. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl presented an overview of pending and recent legislation relevant to <br />special districts, including Proposition 90 and playground safety standards. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Berger noted the final presentations of Evening on the Conejo at the <br />Stagecoach Inn October 6 and 7. <br />Holt noted that the first scheduled meeting in April 2007 occurs on a <br />religious holiday. <br />
