Approval Of Addition Of Administrator, Parks & Planning Position; Elimination Of Assistant General Manager/Administrator, Parks & Planning Position; And Addition Of General Manager Emeritus Position Friedl provided background information and referenced submitted documentation. He stated that, as part of the plan for the future transition to a new General Manager, the position of Assistant General Manage rlAdministrator, Parks & Planning position was created; as the transition nears, it is recommended that an Administrator, Parks & Planning position be added, effective August 7; this position will be filled by Tom Hare; it is also recommended that the position of Assistant General Manager/Parks and Planning Administrator be eliminated, and General Manager Emeritus be added, effective August 21, for a period not to exceed six months. It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 40 to approve the addition of Administrator, Parks & Planning position, eliminate Assistant General Manager/Administrator, Parks & Planning position, and approve the addition of General Manager Emeritus position. B. Authorization To Expend $37,500 For Schematic Design And Cost Estimates For Community Pool At California Lutheran University Friedl summarized that the 2006-07 Capital Improvement Program budget includes funds for approximately fifty percent of the design and construction cost of the proposed community pool, which would be funded jointly by the City of Thousand Oaks and Conejo Recreation and Park District; the pool is to be located at California Lutheran University; and the estimated cost of a schematic design and engineers cost estimate by Aquatics Design Group is $75,000. In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Fnedl said that once the schematic design and engineers cost estimate is completed, the ad hoc committee will meet to review the documentation and make recommendations to the CRPD Board and City Council.
