May 25, 2006 <br />Page 6 <br />Marchesano said that the vendor has been contacted, and it is expected <br />the gate will be installed within a few weeks. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that a skate competition will be held at Borchard <br />Community Skate Park on June 3, and will feature games and food. The <br />Cultural Unit's ACCV Board and Friends Art Exhibit will open at the <br />Hillcrest Center Gallery on June 5, 2006, and an artists' reception and Arts <br />Council of the Conejo Valley Board of Directors Installation will be held on <br />June 14. The Teen Center will host the annual staff versus Conejo Valley <br />High School Softball Game at Conejo Valley High School on May 30. The <br />Teen Center's annual Fun Run on May 31 and its final high school concert <br />of the year on June 3 are also scheduled. The Therapeutics Unit will <br />participate in a Special Needs Career Faire on June 3 at CSU -Channel <br />Islands, and the annual Autism Field Day at Old Meadows Center is <br />scheduled for June 9. The Goebel Senior Adult Center conducted the <br />Senior Festival which was well attended. The Senior of the Year Awards <br />program and the Art of Humor class are scheduled for June 1 and June 8, <br />respectively. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward reported that staff is working on the June Ventura County Special <br />Districts Association (VCSDA) program, which will include a tour of <br />Oakbrook Regional Park. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry relative to the Library Foundation, Ward <br />said that many considerations must yet be addressed including site <br />ambience, and the issue will be agendized in the future. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Berger commended staff for efforts on behalf of the Volunteer Recognition <br />and Contract Instructor Barbeque at Conejo Creek North on May 19. <br />Jacobsen thanked Lange for conducting the May 11 meeting in his stead. <br />
