CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 20, 2006 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Gibson called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m., and Recreation Manager <br />Wiley led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Assistant General Manager Friedl, <br />Administrators Benton and Lewanda, Recreation Manager Wiley, Recreation <br />Coordinator Laufenberg, Recreation Therapist Daubs, Recreation Leader Pinson <br />and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Therapeutic Unit Summer Day Camp — Cecilia Laufenberg <br />Referencing a slide presentation, Laufenberg provided an overview of the Summer <br />Day Camp, stating that: the camp now serves 25 campers; two thirds have autistic <br />disorders; a team effort is required to serve the campers; art, music, games, <br />sports, hydrotherapy, and Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship are all offered at <br />this quality camp. <br />Board members commended staff and expressed appreciation for their efforts. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Tom Hartin, representing Conejo Valley Days, (CVD) noted the upcoming event, <br />distributed CVD memorabilia, and expressed appreciation for District support, <br />programs and parks. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried ", to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />
