September 20, 2007 <br />Page 4 <br />an investigation by staff of the Glenwood Neighborhood Park, it has been <br />decided to add signage indicating no adults are to use the softball field. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Hare said that there is sustained staff effort <br />at Oakbrook Neighborhood Park, relative to gopher infestation. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton referenced the Recreation Highlights, and noted the CRPD <br />Employee Appreciation Picnic on October 7. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl presented a legislative update. <br />He referenced the September 20 Rancho Potrero article in the Acorn <br />Newspaper, and said that the planning process is methodical and <br />extensive, involving several agencies, and no final decisions have been <br />made. <br />He noted the upcoming surprise Oak Tree Dedication in honor of Maryjane <br />Lazz on September 25. <br />He stated that the District was a co -winner of the California Special District's <br />Association (CSDA) Exceptional Public Outreach Program Award. <br />Relative to Conejo Valley Days, Friedl said that the District has been asked <br />to waive fees. Gibson requested a full and complete financial report of the <br />event. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange stated that the Ventura County Special Districts Association <br />(VCSDA) will host a table at the upcoming conference for distribution of <br />literature and display of the District timeline. <br />
