Approval to Schedule a Facilities Tour <br />Friedl stated that the purpose of the field trip would be to familiarize the <br />Board with some recently completed improvements, view the location of <br />both approved and funded capital improvement projects, as well as planned <br />park projects. During the field trip, staff would provide updates on the <br />status of projects, as well as challenges and opportunities facing staff. <br />Friedl suggested that an early morning field trip would facilitate seeing the <br />maintenance staff in action. <br />It was general consensus that in lieu of the regular Board meeting of <br />October 4, a facilities tour be scheduled on October 10, 7 a.m. starting <br />at Conejo School Yard facility. <br />9. Park Division Report <br />Hare stated that a successful California Lutheran University (CLU) <br />neighborhood meeting was held recently, relative to the community pool, <br />and it is expected that completion of the project will be Fall of 2008. <br />Staff has met with a group of disc golf players, who are looking at various <br />sites for their activities. Staff will meet with consultants on September 21, <br />relative to the draft Lang Ranch Environmental Impact Report (EIR). After <br />
