CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton, Hare and Lewanda, <br />and Executive Assistant Ohren <br />Brent Ives, BHI Management Consulting <br />3. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Dave Hettwer, Newbury Park, stated his opposition to the 200 -person picnic <br />shelter in the proposed conceptual plan of Rancho Potrero, citing noise and fire <br />concems. <br />Stephen Frye, Newbury Park, said he supports much of the Rancho Potrero <br />proposed conceptual plan, but expressed concern relative to the 200 -person picnic <br />shelter. <br />Jon Nagy, Newbury Park, requested that a follow-up meeting be scheduled and <br />expressed concern relative to the 200 -person picnic shelter of Rancho Potrero. <br />John Font!, Newbury Park, thanked the District for acquisition of the Rancho <br />Potrero property and expressed concern relative to the 200 -person picnic structure <br />in the proposed conceptual plan. <br />Frank Greenway spoke in support of universal trails accessibility beyond ADA <br />requirements, and suggested that open space trails be prioritized for accessibility. <br />Friedl suggested that the agenda be modified such that the remainder of Items <br />from the Public be conducted subsequent to Item 4. Presentation of Draft Strategic <br />Plan, to accommodate Mr. Ives' prearranged travel arrangements. <br />
