August 2, 2007 <br />Page 5 <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that fall 2007 recreation program registration began on <br />July 31 and will continue through August 10. She identified upcoming <br />events including Kids Fishing Frenzy on August 4, and two remaining <br />Concerts in the Park featuring Sun` City All Stars on August 12 and Maxine <br />Nightingale on September 3. <br />Several Teen Center excursions are planned, as is an End of Summer <br />dance for 7, 8' and V grade teens on August 18. The Young Artists <br />Ensemble will present The Best of the Worst on August 11, and a Labor <br />Day breakfast is scheduled at the Goebel Senior Adult Center. <br />She noted the distribution of the Goebel Senior Center Newsletter, and said <br />that the employee picnic is scheduled for October 7 at Conejo Creek North. <br />Gibson highlighted the Road to the Future Car Show scheduled for <br />September 2, 2007 at EI Parque de La Paz. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No Report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl referenced the calendar. He stated that the next Board meeting will <br />be September 6, he will be on vacation till August 15. Concluding, he said <br />that staff has met with representatives of the City of Thousand Oaks and <br />Conejo Valley Unified School to discuss the Kelly Road surplus property <br />issue, and appropriate correspondence will be prepared indicating District <br />interest in the property. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />No reports. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Holt thanked everyone, especially Berger, for support of the Conejo Valley <br />Historical Society Triunfo Ball. <br />
