CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Berger led the flag <br />salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton, Lewanda and Hare, <br />Recreation Manager Wiley, Recreation Coordinator Laufenberg, Information <br />Technology Analyst Segedie, Reservations Coordinator Mills, and Executive <br />Assistant Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Inclusion Institute Presentation — Recreation Coordinator Cecilia Laufenberg <br />Laufenberg distributed materials, and referencing a slide presentation, Laufenberg <br />provided an overview of the Inclusion Institute and noted the many agencies <br />represented. She identified Recreation Inclusion as including people with <br />disabilities in recreation opportunities available to the general public. She stated <br />that the District hosted the one day conference, 37 staff members attended, the <br />sessions were interactive and participatory and offered opportunities for agencies <br />to share viewpoints, methods and experiences. <br />Board members commended Laufenberg on her presentation and professional <br />efforts. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />R. Moccia, Thousand Oaks, spoke in opposition to the land use concept for <br />Rancho Potrero. <br />
