Park Division Report <br />Hare stated that the District received approximately $3,192 incentive <br />funding from the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance (VCREA) for <br />energy efficient lighting upgrades at Borchard Center gymnasium. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton noted upcoming events including: Volunteer Recognition event at <br />Conejo Creek North, May 18; Sycamore to the Sea, an eight mile hike, May <br />19; the Teen Center May Dance for 7`1 and 8h graders, May 12; and a high <br />school concert, May 19. The Sports Adult Coed Summer Volleyball League <br />starts May 16 with 40 teams participating, and the Young Artists Ensemble <br />production of Disney's "Aladdin Jr." continues through May 20. <br />Concluding, Benton noted the Inclusion Conference to be held at Hillcrest <br />Center on June 11, and said that she and Recreation Coordinator Cecilia <br />Laufenberg will participate in a conference at the Pasadena Recreation and <br />Park District, May 19, <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda said that work on the b.adget process is proceeding. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl presented a legislative update relative to funding and public <br />accessibility to documentation. He highlighted upcoming events including <br />the Volunteer Recognition Picnic, May 18; State of the Region Launch at <br />California Lutheran University, May 22; and the gathering to celebrate close <br />of escrow for Rancho Conejo properties, May 24. <br />Gibson expressed concern about future funding for the Youth Outreach <br />Program. <br />
