March 15, 2007 <br />Page 3 <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiries, Benton said that there is a four-hour <br />minimum change and out -of -district fees for use of the stage, and the <br />General Manage has authority to approve a request for reduced fees. <br />Friedl noted that the main issue is staff time necessary to support the use of <br />the stage. <br />Nick Newkirk, Community Services Coordinator of the City of Agoura Hills <br />thanked the Board, and invited everyone to celebrate the 25th anniversary of <br />the City of Agoura Hills. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0 to: 1. ) <br />Approve the out -of -district use of the mobile stage by the City of <br />Agoura Hills and the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks, and 2.) <br />Authorize the General Manager to approve any future requests for out - <br />of -district use of the mobile stage. <br />C. Award Bid for Installation of Concrete Basketball Court at Wendy Park <br />Hare reviewed the bid process, and referenced the bid opening <br />documentation. He said that a notice to bidders was advertised in the <br />Ventura County Star on February 15, 2007, five bids were opened on <br />March 6 and the low bid, received from Malibu Pacific Tennis Courts, Inc., <br />meets all the required specifications. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Berger, and carried 4-0 to award <br />bid to Malibu Pacific Tennis Courts, Inc., in the amount of $48,625, <br />plus a contingency amount of $1,375, totaling $50,000 for the removal <br />of existing asphalt basketball court and replacement with concrete <br />playing surface, new poles, backboards and rims; funds available <br />from account number 13-805-811-81904-002. <br />9.
