Election of Board Chair and Vice -Chair <br />Friedl stated that, traditionally, the selection of Chair and Vice -Chair has <br />been done in December or early January. He noted the chronological <br />history of Board of Directors membership and officers of the Conejo <br />Recreation and Park District. <br />It was moved by Gibson, and seconded by Jacobsen to select Holt to <br />serve as Chair. It was unanimously agreed upon to close the <br />nominations. The election of Holt as Chair was declared unanimous. <br />Holt assumed the position of chair. Board members thanked Lange for his <br />service as Chair and well representing the District in community activities <br />and in statewide agencies. Friedl presented Lange with a ceremonial chair. <br />Lange thanked staff and the Board for their support. <br />Holt assumed the position of Chair. <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Lange, and carried 4-0 to <br />nominated Gibson as Vice Chair. It was unanimously agreed upon to <br />close the nominations. The election of Gibson as Vice Chair was <br />declared unanimous. <br />Gibson thanked all for their support. <br />C. Confirmation of Board Appointments and Assignments <br />Friedl stated that annually the Board reviews member committee <br />assignments and either confirms, modifies or deletes member committee <br />assignments as appropriate. Due to the resignation of Berger, and <br />depending on the method selected by the Board to fill Berger's seat, the <br />Board may wish to act on board appointments and assignments now or <br />postpone action until a new Board Member is seated. Friedl identified <br />Berger's assignments and appointments, which include Conejo Open <br />Space Conservation Agency (COSCA), Government Liaison Committee, <br />Lang Ranch ad hoc Committee, and Public Member of Mountains <br />
