November 6, 2008 <br />Page 4 <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Gibson, and carried 4-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to enter into an agreement with New <br />World Systems for the upgrade of Logos Financial software from <br />AS40011-Series version to the Logos.NET version. Funding for the <br />upgrade, not to exceed $200,000, to come from General Fund balance <br />and anticipated MRCA revenue. <br />9. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />None <br />10. Oral Report — California State Budget <br />Friedl discussed State budget considerations relative to the District, and <br />said he will be in Sacramento on November 21 to attend the Legislative <br />Committee meeting. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported that the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process for Lang <br />Ranch is nearing completion, and shortly the Request for Proposals (RFP) <br />will begin. The Conejo Creek South project continues, and completion is <br />expected about the first of the year. Relative to the community pool at <br />California Lutheran University, the deck will soon be poured, and February <br />20 has been chosen as the date for the grand opening. <br />
