Annual Capital Improvement Projects Status Report and Master Plan <br />Review and Update <br />Referencing documentation, Hare presented summary reports on the <br />status of Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) for the closing fiscal year <br />and for the first quarter of the current fiscal year, and the 2007108 major <br />repairs. He noted that in Fiscal Year 2007-08, the Board approved 48 <br />projects, 32 are completed, and 16 have been scheduled, will be <br />scheduled, or are in progress and are rolling over into Fiscal Year 2008- <br />09. <br />He said that the largest projects completed this fiscal year are: <br />renovations to Lakeside Play Area, which includes the popular NEOS at <br />Conejo Creek North; replacement of play area equipment at Hickory Park; <br />ADA access and connection of tot lot with bridge at Peppertree Park; <br />removal and replacement of roof at Borchard Center; and HVAC system <br />improvements at Thousand Oaks Center. Several projects that are near <br />completion are: the community pool at California Lutheran University; <br />Phase 11 Development at Conejo Creek South; Phase 1 Development at <br />Northwood Park; replacement of existing playground equipment at Wendy <br />Park; and Lakeside picnic structure renovation at Conejo Creek North. He <br />identified and discussed two "paper projects" -- Lang Ranch Community <br />Park and McCrea Ranch public access components. <br />Hare noted major funding sources and limitations for Capital Improvement <br />Projects (CIP), including funding from Park Development Fees (PDF), <br />Assessment District 62-1, Landscape Maintenance Districts 92-1 and 94- <br />1, various grants, donations, and very successful cooperative <br />agreements, including a $370,000 donation from American Youth Soccer <br />Organization (AYSO) and a pledge of an additional $300,000. <br />The Board and staff than discussed challenges, opportunities, projected <br />time frames, estimated costs, funding, project components and <br />sequencing, revenue production possibilities, and priorities of specific <br />projects. <br />
