Park Dedication Fees Received — No Comment <br />E. Preliminary Budget Performance Report — June 2008 — No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare provided a status report of the community pool at California Lutheran <br />University (CLU) and the Conejo Creek South project. He concluded that <br />progress is being made at both sites and said that the new parking lot has <br />been completed and staff will now focus on field improvements. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton referenced the recreation highlights documentation. On September <br />20 a free Open Space Appreciation Hike is scheduled. The Kids Health & <br />Fitness Expo is scheduled for September 27. Auditions have been <br />completed for the Young Artists Ensemble production of The Lion, the <br />Witch, and the Wardrobe. A twice -a -week walking program and a <br />badminton program is now being held for seniors. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda discussed the economic environment relative to the District and <br />said that safety, liquidity, and yield are prime considerations when decisions <br />are made concerning District assets. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl noted the September 22 McCrea Ranch tour and the September 28 <br />seed collection effort at Lang Ranch Community Park site. <br />Concluding, he stated there was no need for a Closed (Executive) Session. <br />
