Structural <br />Contractors for purchasing new Playworld Systems, Inc. equipment and a <br />small shade shelter at Wendy Neighborhood Park. All design specifications <br />are met and the proposal includes the required 5% discount. The new <br />pirate -themed play equipment will replace the current equipment installed in <br />1979 and a small 12 foot by 12 foot shade shelter will utilize two existing <br />picnic tables and provide a better use of the existing area. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Berger, and carried 4-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to enter into a contract with M.D. <br />Structural Contractors, authorized representative of Playworld <br />Systems, Inc. play equipment, in the amount of $66,456.73 for the <br />purchase of Wendy Park playground equipment and a small shade <br />shelter. Funds available from account 13 805 811 81904 003 10-5. <br />G. California Special Districts Association (CSDA) Board of Directors <br />Election - 2008 <br />Friedl referenced the documentation, relative to an election of a <br />representative to the CSDA Board of Directors, Seat C, Region 5 for a term <br />ending in 2011. He identified the nominees as James Acosta (Saticoy <br />Sanitary District), Alan Dyer, (West Valley Water District), Elaine L. <br />Freeman (Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District), Henry M. Morgan <br />(San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District, Ray Marquez <br />(Chino Valley Independent Fire Direct) and Susie Paxton (Embarcadero <br />Municipal Improvement District. Gibson said his recommendation is James <br />Acosta, incumbent. Board members agreed, and Holt noted Elaine <br />Freeman's many contributions to the agency. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Berger, and carried 4.0 to cast <br />the District's ballot to elect James Acosta as a representative to the <br />CSDA Board of Directors, Seat C, Region 5, for a term ending 2011. <br />9.
