July 31, 2008 <br />Page 4 <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Berger, and carried 4-0 to <br />adopt Resolution Number 073108-A, a resolution opposing State <br />budget decisions that would "borrow" local government funds; that it <br />be read in title only and all other readings be waived. <br />9. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />None <br />10. REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Goebel Senior Center Commission Minutes — June 2008 — No Comment <br />B. Teen Center Status Report — Fall 2007 -- No Comment <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare provided a status report of the community pool at California Lutheran <br />University (CLU) and the Conejo Creek South project. He concluded that <br />progress is being made at both sites. <br />Holt commended Parks staff for the excellent condition of Willow Bend Park <br />at Conejo Creek North.. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton referenced the recreation highlights documentation. She noted that <br />the Concert in the Park on August 10 will feature California Dreamin' and <br />the Labor Day Concert will feature a Motown revue with The Best <br />Intentions. On August 8, Goebel Senior Adult Center staff will prepare a <br />summer barbecue for patrons. The Teen Center summer excursions will <br />include a deep sea fishing trip out of Channel Islands Harbor, a trip to Magic <br />Mountain and another to Raging Waters. An End of Summer Dance for 7m, <br />8th and 91h grade students is planned for August 16. The Outdoor Unit will <br />host a family campout in Wildwood Park August 16 through 17, and <br />Therapeutics will host a potluck picnic and Concert in the Park on August <br />10, a Hawaiian Tropical Dinner and Dance on August 16 for ages 15 and <br />over and a Sycamore Canyon camping trip for ages 13 and over on August <br />22 to 24. <br />
