CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 23, 2009 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Holt called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and led the flag salute. <br />It was noted that sport paraphernalia, worn by many in attendance, was in memory of Sports <br />Supervisor Kevin Lukes. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, Lange, Short <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton and Lewanda, Parks <br />Superintendant Kouba, I. T. Analyst Segedie, and Executive Assistant Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Borchard Community Center — Pancake Breakfast — Recreation Supervisor Patty <br />Hamm <br />Hamm provided a presentation of the July 4 Pancake Breakfast event and served pancakes <br />and sausages to the Board and staff. She said that the event has been held for over 20 <br />years. She commended staff, volunteers, and local organizations for their support. She <br />recognized and thanked Recreation Coordinator Patti Rickets and Recreation Specialist <br />Brian Naginey for their support. <br />Board members thanked Hamm, and said that they enjoyed the event. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />None <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0, to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br />6.
