Parks Division Report <br />Hare thanked Board members for their input in the photo contest. He said the "ant <br />hill' at Thousand Oaks Community Park is a big hit, and staff has contacted those <br />who recently expressed concern relative to dog park issues. Lange requested a <br />future report on the issue. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton referenced documentation and highlighted recreation events and activities. <br />Summer 2009 recreation programs have begun. July 4t" activities include the <br />Fireworks Spectacular, the Pancake Breakfast at Borchard Community Center, <br />Concert in the Park at Conejo Community Center, Senior Home Run Derby at <br />Borchard Community Center and Family Open Swim at the Community Pool at <br />California Lutheran University (CLU). <br />Lange noted that MRCA supplied vehicles for the Touch -A -Truck event. Short <br />commended staff who worked at the event. Jacobsen said it would be beneficial to <br />know where event attendees live. <br />Lange said that he is pleased to witness lots of activity at the CLU pool and requested <br />a report on attendance. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl stated that June 26 he will attend the Conejo Open Space Conservation <br />Agency (COSCA) Advance on June 26, and will attend the July 2 California <br />
