CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 16, 2009 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Holt called the meeting to order at 7:33 P.M. and Short led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Jacobsen, Lange, Short <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl; Administrators Hare and Lewanda; <br />Recreation Managers Lindsey and Wiley, Parks Superintendant Kouba, and <br />Executive Assistant Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Jean Riley and Beverly Brune of the Conejo Valley Botanical Garden <br />Jean Riley and Beverly Brune, of the Conejo Valley Botanical Garden, <br />highlighted the Garden's background, activities, events, volunteer projects, the <br />yea's accomplishments, current vegetation, and Trail of Trees. They invited all to <br />visit, noted the May 3 Matilija Poppy Festival, and expressed appreciation for <br />District involvement and support. Brune noted that the Botanical Garden has been <br />chosen the recipient of Macy's Department Store upcoming sales event. <br />Jacobsen thanked all who were involved in the tour earlier in the day. <br />Board members thanked Riley and Brune for their efforts at the Garden. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 4-0 to approve <br />the agenda as presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of March 26, 2009 Meeting <br />B. Approval of Warrants, Exhibit A <br />Accounts Payable Check Registers Total $477,332.37 <br />Payroll Total $299,733.50 <br />
