March 12, 2009 <br />Page 5 <br />In response to Jacobsen's demographics inquiry, Benton said that the <br />Council on Aging is heading an assessment of expansion issues and <br />program needs, and as the information becomes available, it will be <br />provided to the Board. <br />Friedl said that the Strategic Pian will be reviewed every year. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to <br />approve the District's Five Year Strategic Plan (2009-2013) with the <br />corrections identified. <br />E. User Fee Schedule for Community Pool at California Lutheran <br />University (CLU) <br />Referencing documentation, Benton provided background information for <br />the proposed fee schedule. She noted that the fee schedule for Conejo <br />Creek Ball Park is the model for the proposed pool fees, consistent with the <br />District's seven -level pricing schedule. <br />Gibson expressed concerns about the fee structure for the community pools <br />at CLU and Thousand Oaks High School (TONS) and Newbury Park High <br />School (NPHS). He said more information is needed to justify staff <br />recommendation. Jacobsen concurred. Benton said staff will provide <br />additional written information to the Board. <br />It was moved by Jacobsen, seconded by Gibson, and carried 5-0 to <br />continue Items 8.E and 8F. <br />F. Shamrock Shows Carnival & Rides. and Conejo Valley Days (Oral) <br />Friedl highlighted a recent meeting with representatives of local agencies <br />and Shamrock Shows, but said that no permit request has yet been <br />submitted by Shamrock Shows. <br />
