Approval of 2009 Annual Agreement - Conejo Valley Family Fun -Fest <br />Chili Cook Off and Classic Car Show <br />Hare explained that, in an effort to balance the impact of the significant <br />financial investments on youth sports improvements to the site with the <br />overall community benefit of the Chili Cook Off, staff met with Rotary <br />representatives. It was agreed that the 2009 Chili Cook Off event is to be <br />conducted Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26; additionally, a setup <br />day on Friday, April 24 and a cleanup day on Monday, April 27 were <br />identified. Payment to the District is $5,000, plus a tiered schedule as <br />described in Section 8 of the agreement. The agreement is similar to past <br />agreements and staff will work closely with Rotary representatives. <br />Susan Murata thanked the District for its support, and discussed <br />components of the event including a concert in the park, a large kid's area <br />and the chili cook -off. <br />In response to Board inquiries, staff said that if damage to the fields occur, <br />Rotary will be responsible for repair costs, and CRPD will be recognized <br />with signage at the event. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Jacobsen, and carried 5-0 to <br />authorize the General Manager to execute the Conejo Valley Family <br />Fun -Fest Chili Cook Off and Classic Car Show (Chili Cook Off) <br />Agreement for 2009. <br />
