January 22, 2009 <br />Page 2 <br />Outstanding Divisions Awards <br />Aaron Council, Recreation Leader <br />Melissa Schlegel, Reservations Clerk <br />Deirdre Pearson, Aquatics Specialist in the Sports/Aquatics Section <br />Gina Ausen, Recreation Leader at Thousand Oaks Community Center <br />Mary Jo Diefenthaler, Administrative Clerk, Thousand Oaks Teen Center. <br />Manuel Ortiz, Grounds Crew Leader <br />An overview of each employee's professional and academic achievements was <br />presented. On behalf of the Board and staff, Friedl presented awards to all <br />honorees. <br />Senior staff members and Board members commended and thanked District <br />employees. <br />Honorees thanked staff, management and the Board of Directors for their <br />support, and spoke of their pride and satisfaction in being part of Conejo <br />Recreation and Park District. <br />Teen Center Presentation <br />Brenda Coleman provided a program highlighting the Teen Center New Year's <br />Eve Dance. <br />Coleman recognized and thanked teen volunteers Dayanna Quintana, Logan <br />Marshall and Trent Siggard and said their contribution to the Teen Center is <br />invaluable. Coleman also acknowledged and thanked co-workers Pete Martinez, <br />Dan Nalbandin, and Steve Kraetsch. <br />The meeting recessed at 8;35 p.m. and reconvened at 8:43 p.m. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Gibson, and carried 4-0 to approve the <br />agenda as modified; i.e., Item 4 to precede Item 3. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
