CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING <br />JANUARY 22, 2009 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Holt called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and Gibson led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Lange, Short <br />Directors Absent: Jacobsen <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl; Administrators Benton, Hare and Lewanda; <br />Recreation Managers Lindsey and Wiley; Parks Superintendent Kuba; Human <br />Resources Supervisor Howell; and Executive Assistant Ohren <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Chuck Huffer on behalf of AYSO, Region 9, tnanKed Melissa Schlegel and <br />Manuel Ortiz for their outstanding work. Additionally, Huffer congratulated John <br />Short on his appointment to the Board of Directors and presented him a token of <br />esteem. <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Administration of Oath of Office to John A. Short III <br />Friedl administered the oath of office to Short, congratulated and welcomed him. <br />Board members expressed their congratulations and best wishes.
