CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 18, 2010 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Gibson called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M., and Recreation Supervisor Hamm led the flag <br />salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, Lange, Short <br />Director Short arrived at 8:20 PM <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare and Lewanda, Recreation Manager <br />Lindsey, Executive Assistant Ohren <br />3, SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Borchard Community Center Recreation Supervisor Hamm, Recreation Coordinator <br />Ricketts <br />Hamm and Ricketts provided a presentation and handouts on Borchard Community Park, the <br />new labyrinth and Borchard fitness equipment. Hamm explained the origins and benefits of <br />labyrinths and noted the upcoming Gratitude Walk and various workshops. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />John Anderson, Newbury Park, spoke of the problem of overflow parking around Pepper Tree <br />Playfield, and recommended that metrics and consequences be established for the large user <br />groups. Additionally he suggested that American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) spread <br />out games over a longer period of time and use other facilities, in addition to Pepper Tree. He <br />indicated that he would put his position in writing and requested a written response from the <br />District. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0, with Short not yet in <br />attendance, to approve the agenda as presented. <br />
