Staff has been working with the McCrea family, <br />and a non-profit foundation to help support the ranch has been established. A <br />groundbreaking ceremony is planned for 5 P.M. on July 15, and a 9 -month construction <br />period is estimated. <br />In response to Gibson's inquiry, Hare said that funding is through the Santa Monica <br />Mountains Conservancy (SMMC). <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Short, and carried 5-0 to award bid to SBS <br />Corporation in the amount of $595,970, plus contingency in the amount of <br />$69,630 (approximately 10%), totaling $766,600 for construction of the McCrea <br />Ranch Visitors Center Project. <br />9. Youth Outreach Impressions — March, April 2010 <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Wiley said that the application process for the part-time <br />Youth Outreach staff position closes July 16, and both men and women will be <br />considered for the position. <br />C. Westlake Village Park and YMCA <br />Friedl highlighted the conceptual plan, and noted the ample parking allotment and a <br />proposed skate park. In response to Board inquiries, Friedl said that on July 28 the <br />Westlake Village Council will consider three park improvement options. <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare said that staff anticipates a special meeting in August will be necessary for the <br />Board to consider the Thousand Oaks Center/Borchard Community Park entryway <br />
