June 17, 2010 <br />Page 5 <br />continuing to accept registration and sponsorship sign-ups for the First Annual Kevin <br />Lukes Memorial Golf Tournament at Los Robles Greens Golf Course on Friday, <br />July 16. <br />Jacobsen asked if staff could determine if current economic conditions have impacted <br />attendance at District events and programs, and if other districts have experienced <br />similar impacts. <br />In response to Lange's inquiry, Wiley said that approximately 2,500--3,000 people <br />attended the Memorial Day Concert in the Park. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl said that no Closed Session would be necessary. He stated his appreciation <br />to staff members for their efforts during the budget process. He noted that Lewanda <br />will be on vacation for two weeks, and Monday, June 21, both Hare and he will be <br />absent. In his absence, Wiley will be acting General Manager. <br />E. Directors' Reports <br />Lange noted that on June 26-27, the Ventura County Amateur Radio Society will be <br />joined by five other local amateur radio clubs to conduct the annual Emergency <br />Communications Drill on the Grounds of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and <br />Museum in Simi Valley. He stated that MRCA received an award from Community <br />Conservation International and discussed the Tujunga Wash Greenway. Gibson and <br />Lange spoke of the uniqueness and diversity of MRCA parcels. <br />Gibson said that Jacobsen, Holt and he attended the Conejo Valley Arts Council <br />reception. With Lange, he attended the recent MRCA event at which 200 acres of <br />land at the base of the Calabasas grade were accepted. <br />F. Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />12.
